Jirka Houska is a Czech artist represented in the collections of the National Gallery in Prague since 2013. In 2015, his series of paintings on the theme of mysterious animals was published, as an illustration in the book Paths of Mysterious Animals by a leading Czech cryptozoologist Ing. Jaroslav Mareš. Since 2020, a member of S.V.U. Manes. He is mainly devoted to figure painting, mostly portraits. Among his frequent subjects are landscapes and expressive paintings from the field of sci-fi, inspired by natural sciences and mythology.
